Sítio Vargem Alegre is a very small coffee farm of only 3 hectares which is located in the city of Cristina-MG, in the region of Mantiqueira de Minas, it’s owner and producer is Sebastião Daniel da Silva.
Sebastião, his wife Hilda and their children come from a family that cultivated rice up until the 1980’s where they made the decision to change to a new culture, coffee. They have a strong focus and work ethic on growing coffee in a sustainable way and being environmentally conscious along with always trying to work in harmony with the environment when producing coffee.
Previously Sebastião has previously placed 2nd, 9th & 10th in the renowned Cup of Excellence competition and 1st in the BCSA micro region showcase, along with many other places and continues producing this level of high quality coffee.
Sebastião’s coffee received a bronze medal in espresso category in the Golden Bean Coffee Roasters Competition 2020.
